Nada Stevens Founder & Principal Consultant
Nada Stevens has spent more than two decades working inside mission-driven organizations as a teacher, program director, founding executive, and leadership coach. Throughout her career, she witnessed the same patterns play out across organizations: good people, genuine purpose, and sound strategies undermined by human dynamics.
But she also built something different. Within her own teams and programs, Nada consistently created environments where people grew, collaboration thrived, and results followed. Not through control or rigid frameworks, but through clear communication, psychological safety, and the kind of leadership that brings out the best in people. Her teams exceeded their objectives, expanded their impact year over year, and did it with creativity and calm rather than drama and burnout.
She founded Hikma to bring that to more organizations.
Nada’s background spans nonprofit leadership, higher education, and organizational development. She has managed multi-million dollar federal grants, built programs from the ground up, led teams through institutional restructuring, and coached leaders at every level. At Institute for Transformative Education at SDSU’s College of Education she spent a decade directing a federally funded program while deepening her expertise in reflective practices and development grounded in education and learning theories.
Nada holds a Master’s degree from Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development and is a PhD candidate at Lancaster University, UK — ranked #1 in the UK for Education Research Impact — where her research focuses on relational listening in education.
She holds certifications in Deep Listening®, Agile Leadership, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and is a graduate of LEAD San Diego Advance, a competitive program recognizing top-performing female leaders in the San Diego region.
